A three day weekend shuttle backpacking trip on the Allegheny Trail in West Virginia. Mike from MidAtlanticHikes.com and others did this hike over the 4th of July weekend. Mike gives a good trip report, as usual, along with maps viewable online and downloadable over at his website.

Just a little south of the Mason-Dixon line, in our neighboring state of Maryland, and just west of route I83, is the Prettyboy Reservoir Park. M.R. Hyker does a short 5 mile out-and-back hike on some newly revived trails in this area. Details on this hike, along with maps and pictures can be found at his website.
